Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need planning permission for a temporary kitchen pod?
No. Because our pods are temporary structures on private property, you do not need planning permission. You simply need enough driveway or garden space to accommodate the trailer, and we'll take care of everything else.
What do I need to connect a kitchen pod?
Very little. You'll need three standard plug sockets (the pod uses three separate cables), an outside tap for the water supply, and a nearby drain for waste water. If you don't have an outside tap or a suitable drain, contact us — we can often find a solution.
How quickly can you deliver a kitchen pod?
We aim to deliver within a few days of your booking being confirmed. If you're in an emergency situation following a flood or fire, contact us directly and we'll do our best to accommodate you as quickly as possible.
How long can I hire a kitchen pod for?
As long as you need. We offer flexible hire terms from a couple of weeks to several months. Kitchen renovations often overrun, so if you need to extend your hire we'll always try to accommodate that.

Does my home insurance cover a temporary kitchen pod?
It may do. If your kitchen is out of action due to a flood, fire, or other insured event, your policy may cover temporary kitchen hire under additional living expenses. We can provide a detailed quote to submit to your insurer.
What appliances are included in the kitchen pod?
Everything you need for normal day-to-day cooking. Each pod includes an oven, hob, full-size fridge, small freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, sink with hot and cold water, kettle, toaster, and heating. Pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery are all included too.
Will the pod fit on my driveway?
Our pods fit on most standard driveways. If you're unsure, get in touch and we can advise based on your space. We'll always assess access before delivery to make sure everything runs smoothly.
